History

Gospel Trick Shot Board of Directors (as of 7/1/24):

 

1) Steve Lillis (Chairman of the Board) – Continue as Owner and Founder of Gospel Trick Shot Ministries, Inc., mentoring and training the Executive Board in their responsibilities, Missionary of the Hawthorne Gospel Church in Hawthorne, NJ and the Rising Hope Church in Muncie, IN. GTS RACK Rooms subcommittee member and GTS RACK team member. Retired college professor (24 years) from William Paterson and Kean University.

 

2) Wayne Parker (President) – Working alongside the Chairman with the VP and Treasurer reporting to both. Steve Lillis will continue with some of the Presidential administrative functions, particularly legal and fund raising, until such a time that Wayne Parker and his team can take full responsibility. Wayne is currently our GTS international advisor and liaison with the power structures in pool/billiards worldwide and GTS RACK team member. Holder of competitive billiard titles in various cue sport disciplines in South Africa and beyond. Coach of the USA Blackball Team 2022-24.

3) Michael Hewitt (Vice President) – Handling domestic outreaches like DCC, BEF, Midwest GTS portable pool table outreaches; international GTS outreaches and church planting particularly in Spain under the Rising Hope Church umbrella with the Wesleyan Denomination: Administrate and oversee tech duties with Jason Lynch assisting not only with GTS tech support, but in the physical building and administration of the RHC pool ministry in Muncie, IN, of which Michael is the Senior Pastor; GTS RACK Rooms visionary and subcommittee member and member of the GTS RACK Team.

4) Phil Ball (Treasurer) – Steve Lillis and Alan McNickle will assist Phil Ball in learning and taking more responsibility in the financial area of the ministry until such time as he is ready to take over all responsibilities. At this point Steve Lillis with Alan McNickle’s help, is still legally responsible that all reports and forms are done correctly in a timely fashion. Phil Ball and Steve and Camille Lillis are signers on the GTS checking and savings accounts. Phil is a GTS RACK team member helping mostly on GTS outreaches and projects in the metro NY/NJ/PA tri state area.

5) Tom Rossman (GTS Board Advisor) – Has offered his property and assets to be used for ministry, particularly for youth by GTS, Rising Hope Church pool ministry, or any other pool related ministries he approves; RACK Vision Founder and GTS RACK Rooms visionary and subcommittee member; Founder of Dr. Cue Promotions with his wife Marty; Member of the GTS RACK team and member of the Billiard Congress of America (BCA) Hall of Fame – 2017.

6) Ken Vander Wall (GTS Board Advisor) – Would like to see the continuation of college campus GTS ministry which is underway once again in New Jersey with Steve Lillis and a local team of GTS helpers Jesus Canela, Steve Goitz, Phil Ball, and Bernie Criscenzo. Stevens Tech and Bergen Community College here in New Jersey had GTS shows done over the past 4 months with more scheduled in the Fall of 2024; Former InterVarsity missionary.

7) Roy Heerama (GTS Board Advisor) – Serves on the Board of Calvin College in Michigan and other local boards in the Paterson, NJ area, career financial advisor who is still active with the financial services industry, continues to look for GTS opportunities for outreach as he is currently working with Michael Hewitt for an GTS outreach in Grand Rapids, MI through his Calvin College connections.

8) Rob Boswell (GTS Board Advisor) – Served 15 years in the Philippines as a full time missionary and has worked with GTS in the Philippines in 2012 and 2015 and advises on GTS international outreaches. Currently off the mission field and located in New Jersey working as a swimming pool contractor.

9) Alan McNickle (GTS Board Advisor) – Former GTS Treasurer who will remain active in an advisory capacity with GTS financial and be available to help Phil Ball in his new role. Alan works for the Finance Department of the Hawthorne Gospel Church and helped develop the GTS organizational chart.

Jason Lynch – GTS helper particularly with tech and with Michael Hewitt’s GTS VP responsibilities and with the Rising Hope Church pool ministry in Muncie, IN where he will be physically moving with his family in the Fall of 2024. President of World Pool Association Artistic Pool Division (WPA APD). Member of the GTS RACK Team and top ranked Artistic Pool player.

Brian Pauley – GTS helper with GTS outreaches in the Midwest particularly with the GTS portable pool table, which is located at the Rising Hope Church in Muncie, IN. Member of the GTS RACK Team and top ranked Artistic Pool player.

Gospel Trick Shot Ministries, Inc. will take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to venues having pool tables and people who need to come to a personal relationship with Christ and/or be encouraged in their walk with Jesus Christ. Ministry will include GTS shows on college campuses, billiard rooms and/or tournaments, churches, Boy’s and Girl’s Clubs, camp – grounds, VFW and American Legion Halls, bars and restaurants, youth centers, and any other facility having a pool table and/or platform to speak about the Lord Jesus Christ.

 

Other resulting related opportunities will include Bible Studies, speaking engagements, visitations to groups and/or individuals, and correspondence through email, letters, phone, fax, and other related forms of communication. The ministry of GTS will actively seek to evangelize lost souls and encourage the believer in Jesus Christ.

Gospel Trick Shot Ministries, Inc. founded in June of 1998 by Steve Lillis and incorporated in the State of New Jersey as a 501(c)3 non-profit ministry is now featuring the GTS/RACK Team. Recreational Ambassadors for Christ’s Kingdom (RACK) was revealed to Tom “Dr. Cue” Rossman in a 1984 vision manifestation. It started as an outreach stewardship concept within the billiard industry to unite Christians. GTS/RACK has evolved under the umbrella of GTS into Gospel Billiard Shows featuring Christian superstars in the billiard industry. These performers want to share their Christian testimony using their vast array of talents.

 

Here are some of the GTS/RACK Team Members. Mike Massey and Tom Rossman are superstars of World Artistic Pool, and Loree Jon Jones and Robin Dodson are former World Champion Pool Players. There is also Steve Geller and Tommy Kennedy who both have National Titles and pro pool player and trick shot artist Steve Lillis. Jeff Ballantyne a former pro pool player and now ordained minister, serves as MC in many of the shows. There are also others who have helped produce GTS/RACK Shows in places like Las Vegas, Los Angeles, England, Germany, Ukraine, South Korea, Albania, and Taiwan.

 

Shows include finger pool with Mike Massey, juggling with Tommy Kennedy, wing shot routines with Tom “Dr. Cue” Rossman, Gospel Trick Shots with Steve Lillis, and songs by Loree Jon Jones, Steve Geller, and Mike Massey, with Robin Dodson sharing her amazing testimony. Add all this together and you probably have the most amazing billiard show on planet earth with a heavenly message. Look for us at major events everywhere.

ORIGINAL RACK Vision (December, 1984):

In December of 1984 a manifestation / spiritual vision appeared to Tom Rossman in the windshield of his car while driving. This occurred after his original surrender to the Lord on February 23, 1977, backsliding for seven years, and a rededication to Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior shortly before the RACK Vision experience. This miraculous vision became the central stewardship guideline in the billiard industry for positive pocket billiards and how to RACK Up a Victory in one’s game, and most importantly, LIFE with Christ!  For more information, please click on the link below:

ORIGINAL RACK Room Vision / Mission (June, 2004):

In June of 2004 the original RACK Vision was enhanced by a faith-driven revelation with “hope and a dream” vision points for a multitude of RACK Rooms being developed worldwide with the potential to turn the billiard world (and beyond) upside down. This original vision of RACK Rooms eventually transitioned itself into the GTS RACK Rooms project, as presented by Gospel Trick Shot Ministries, Inc. –   reaching the world for Jesus. 2) II Corinthians 3:17 – “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Freedom” (NIV version)

Note: These two Bible verses were the primary themes to ministry shows done by Steve and Tom over the years and have been “spiritual keys” to softening the soil (hearts) & planting seeds of the Gospel message.
